If ever there’s a home with a story to tell, it’s Ellerman House. To step inside it is to be taken on a journey through the history of South Africa through the medium of its unrivalled collection of artwork, beautiful architecture, indigenous gardens, locally-inspired food and passionate tales of its proudly South African staff.

Since everybody loves a good story and because this is such an inspirational venue, together with like-minded partners BMW, BVLGARI and MOËT & CHANDON, Ellerman House has revived the ancient art of story-telling to forge ahead and define a new kind of luxury. Ellerman Sessions present an exclusive collection of personal stories covering a whole range of topics from the hilarious, to the thrilling, from the gut-wrenching, to the thought-provoking, and to the dreams and fantasies of well-known personalities.

Story-tellers will be comprise top South African musicians and chefs who will engage with guests in the inspirational and intimate setting provided by Ellerman House with only a limited number of tickets available – exclusive to guests staying at Ellerman House. There will be an Ellerman Session each month, with the line-up alternating between a chef and a musician, sharing inspiration behind their cuisine and their songs – revealing how these were initially created.

The Music Sessions will be hosted by local personality, Jon Savage. With an illustrious career as radio DJ, music director and entrepreneur, Jon will apply insider industry knowledge to curate the evening and engage with the musicians while unfolding the stories behind the music. The Chef Sessions will be hosted by prolific MC and television presenter, Dan Nicholl. With deep roots in sports broadcasting, Dan has hosted many prestigious events, such as the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the Cape Wine Auction to name only a few. Chefs will prepare their meals in front of the audience all the while sharing their personal stories and anecdotes.

“Ellerman House has always celebrated talented South Africans and collectively with our passion for creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, The Ellerman Sessions were envisioned. We look forward to enjoying these incredible stories with our guests”, says General Manager, Paul Bruce-Brand.

With the luxurious setting that is Ellerman House and complemented by the rich stories of the talented hosts, the fortunate few lucky enough to secure tickets to these exclusive events will delight in rediscovering the ancient art of storytelling.
