Katherine-Mary Pichulik, born and bred in Cape Town, has always drawn inspiration from books, patterns, colour palettes and people and after a trip to India noticed the relationships that women have with their jewellery. This led to the creation of PICHULIK, a unique range of accessories ranging from neckpieces to earrings, bangles and rings.

PICHULIK is a modern take on the tribal and traditional African accessories. The Middle Eastern and African influence is prominent in the designs that consist of rope with unique and valuable elements like West African brass parts, Turkish totems, Ethiopian recycled glass and beautiful agate stones from Ghana to name a few.Pichulik2

We’re proud to stock PICHULIK in The Studio and invite guests to take a look at the ranges for sale and see how beautiful these accessories are up close. We guarantee you will find something you like.

Some pieces have been seen in Vogue magazine and Katherine-Mary exports to 14 countries worldwide. From her studio in Woodstock, Cape Town, Pichulik has partnered with many brands including, our favourite, Maison Mara in Cape Town’s De Waterkant.

This collaboration is a first for Maison Mara as they have not partnered with a South African label before and what we love about the eight pieces created for Maison Mara is the simplicity and elegance. The pieces do not include beads but rather consist of ropes that were shaped before casting in brass. Take a look for yourself below.
